The Food Bank Visits The Village Tree

In August 2019, The Village Tree partnered with the Food Bank of Delaware to feed over 75 families in the neighborhood. From fresh fruits and vegetables to canned goods and meats, families were able to sign-up and walk away with boxes of goods to help meet their food needs. In addition to food distribution efforts like these, the Food Bank of Delaware is engaged in nutrition education, WIC and SNAP outreach, as well as food prescription programs. The Village Tree was excited to have the chance to bring this incredible resource into our community.
